It hate the word "positivity." It's schmaltzy and idealistic and makes me uncomfortable. But I like negativity even less. And let's face it, life can be pretty stressful and negative. Each person reacts to it a little differently. Some internalize, others externalize, taking it out on others. We all do that from time to time. Then there are the chronically aggressive people. They exist in every life sector: home, workplace, classroom, business, even in supposedly peaceful places like church.
If you spend enough time around negativity, it makes you negative by proxy. We all know those co-workers, spouses, supervisors, teachers, friends who find fault with everything and everyone. If it's you they're haranguing, they can tear apart your self-esteem. You start questioning yourself, doubting your abilities and judgment. Termites of shame bore into the foundation of your being. Now you're no longer happy and centered. You're paranoid and miserable. So please, if you want to get off the meds, to find happiness, Don't Let Negative People Get You Down, Practice Self-Positivity
